CHSP is designed for people who need low-level, task-based support to remain independent at home.

A My Aged Care assessment will help determine which program best suits your needs.

How are the programs different?

CHSP is generally suited to people who need occasional help with everyday tasks, such as cleaning, transport, social support or respite care. Services can vary depending on where you live, and providers set their own contribution arrangements. That’s different from Support at Home, where fees are standardised.

Support at Home is designed for people with more complex or ongoing care needs. It provides access to a broader range of supports, including clinical care, personal care, everyday living services, assistive technology, home modifications and short-term support pathways.
