What you need to know about Support at Home funding approval and allocation:
Form
Approval and funding allocation are two separate steps in the Support at Home process.
Red tick

Being approved for Support at Home does not mean funding is immediately available.

Hand Money
Funding allocation is when you're assigned a classification and can start arranging services.

Understanding Support at Home costs

The process starts with a My Aged Care assessment, where an assessor learns about your goals, support needs and daily life.

If you're eligible, you'll receive approval for Support at Home. Approval confirms you can access the program, but it doesn't mean funding is immediately available.

Funding allocation comes later. When funding becomes available, you'll be assigned one of eight classifications, each with its own budget to access services through your chosen provider.
